Adding an IIM User
How to get here
- From the Ipswitch Instant Messaging Home Page, click either the tab, or the link. The Manage Users page appears.
- Click the button at the bottom of the page. The Add User page appears.
:You can only navigate to this page by clicking the Add button on the Manage Users page.
- . Enter the user's name in the text box.

- . Enter the same password again in the text box.

- . Select this check box to prevent users from sending messages. The user will be able to receive, but not send, messages.
- . Select this check box to allow users to access stored conversations in which he/she participated. For this option to work, the server must be set to store conversations via the General Settings page.
- . Select the check box if you want to add this user to the Public Contacts List. You can manually add or remove any user from the Public Contacts list at any time. (The Public Contacts List contains a listing of all users who have been added to the Ipswitch Instant Messaging network.) If you select this option, the Parent Folder list box becomes active.
- . Select a public contact folder from the list box, allowing access to the entire Public Contact List or limiting access to a subgroup of the entire list.
- . Enter the name of the user as you would like it to appear in the Public Contacts List.
