Note: You can only navigate to this page by clicking the Add button on the Manage Users page.

• Username. Enter the user's name in the text box.
• Hostname. The text box is populated by the default hostname.
• Password. Enter a password in the text box.
• Confirm Password. Enter the same password again in the text box.

Note: Ipswitch Instant Messaging's default user password is "password."

Override User Defaults. Select the check box to override the defaults entered on the Default Users Options page.

Note: If you choose to keep the defaults, the following seven options (Max Message Size through Allow Client A client is a program running on a networked computer that requests services from a server program, which is usually running on another networked computer. • Block Client From Sending Attachments. Select this check box to prevent a user from attaching or including files in conversations.

• Block Client From Sending Instant Messages. Select this check box to prevent users from sending messages. The user will be able to receive, but not send, messages.
• Allow Client Access To Conversation Logs. Select this check box to allow users to access stored conversations in which he/she participated. For this option to work, the server must be set to store conversations via the General Settings page.
• Add User to Public Contact List. Select the check box if you want to add this user to the Public Contacts List. You can manually add or remove any user from the Public Contacts list at any time. (The Public Contacts List contains a listing of all users who have been added to the Ipswitch Instant Messaging network.) If you select this option, the Parent Folder list box becomes active.
• Parent Folder. Select a public contact folder from the list box, allowing access to the entire Public Contact List or limiting access to a subgroup of the entire list.
• Contact Display Name. Enter the name of the user as you would like it to appear in the Public Contacts List.
