From the page, click a User hyperlink. The page appears.
You can use the User Settings page to modify default message size and amounts, conversation participants, and active conversations. You can also provide options to: prevent users from attaching files, force persistent connections, block a user from sending (but not receiving) messages, and provide user access to stored conversations.
- . Select this check box to override existing values set up on the Default User Options page.
- . Enter a number in the text box and use the list box to select the maximum message size in either bytes, Kilobytes, Megabytes, or Gigabytes.
- . Enter a number in the text box to limit the number of users who can participate simultaneously in a conversation. Set the value to -1 (the default) to allow an unlimited number.
- . Enter a number in the text box to limit the number of active conversation windows users can have open simultaneously. Set the value to -1 (the default) to allow an unlimited number.
- . Select this check box to prevent a user from attaching or including files in conversations.
- . Select this check box to force the client to keep a persistent connection to the Ipswitch Instant Messaging Server.
- . Select this check box to prevent users from sending messages. The user will be able to receive, but not send, messages.
- . Select this check box to let users to access stored conversations in which he/she participated. For this option to work, the server must be set to store conversations via the General Settings page.
- . Select this check box to enable system administrator permissions for the specified user.
