Reports

A report contains data captured from one or more MOVEit servers over a specific time range. Reports can show a high-level summary of data, or details of individual transactions. After a report is created, its data cannot be changed. Each report is a snapshot in time of activity on your system(s).

The REPORTS module includes three work areas:

Templates

In the Templates tab, you create and manage the templates that provide the structural framework for reports. Use one of the stock templates provided with Ipswitch Analytics, or use the Template Editor and its comprehensive palette of fields to build your own custom templates, including a filter that narrows report results to include transactions from specific MOVEit servers, organizations, and users. Run any template to create a report on demand that can then be saved to the Library or as a PDF or CSV file.

Schedule

In the Schedule tab, you schedule a report for automatic delivery to the Library or to email recipients on a one-time or recurring basis.

Report Library

In the Report Library you can view saved reports that contain data captured from MOVEit servers over a specific period of time. Select REPORTS > Report Library.

Transfer	Transfer templates capture transfer upload and download data for MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Automation, including transfers from ad-hoc and mobile. Transfer templates are also used for data from Microsoft Exchange support for Ipswitch Analytics, for file transfers that are based on email attachments.	All users
Workflow	Workflow templates capture workflow, task, and step data for MOVEit Automation only.	All users
User Audit	User Audit templates capture all actions initiated by a user on MOVEit Transfer and Ipswitch Analytics, which can be used to demonstrate regulatory compliance. User Audit templates show who accessed the system, what they did, and when. User Audit templates do not include system actions, only actions initiated by a user. Note: MOVEit Automation file operations are not captured in User Audit reports because tasks are not user-initiated actions.	Administrators and System Administrators only
Security	Security templates capture failed login activity and user/IP lockout activity on MOVEit Transfer and Ipswitch Analytics to help you locate suspicious activity (defined as an excessive number of failed access attempts).	Administrators and System Administrators only

For all reports:

Reports include up to 15 months of historical data only.
All dates and times are in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
Reports that display inside Ipswitch Analytics and in PDF documents cannot exceed 1,000 rows; to see all row results, you must save the report as a CSV file.
The Ipswitch Analytics Server synchronizes with all MOVEit servers on your system every two minutes; report data is only as current as the most recent synchronization. Consequently, data in reports may not include the last two minutes of activity.
MOVEit Transfer scheduled tasks that zip and upload archived log files into the Archive Directory are not captured in Ipswitch Analytics reports.
A record will not display in a report if no activity was logged at all. A report may include some records that contain zero values when activity was logged for some other value not shown in the report. For example, User A may display in a report with zero File Uploads because that user logged other actions during the specified time period, whereas User B may also have zero File Uploads but will not display in the same report because User B logged no other actions at all.
Ipswitch Analytics supports Spanish, French and German characters from MOVEit source systems using the Ad-hoc module.
