Change a User's Role

Note: If you change a user's role while that user is signed in, the changes take effect after the user signs out and signs in again.

  1. Sign in to Ipswitch Analytics as an Admin or System Administrator.
  2. Open the USERS module. The Users module opens, with a list of users.
  3. Click the username. The Edit user dialog box opens.
  4. Select a Role for the user to control what that user can access in Ipswitch Analytics. The following table shows what each Role can access in Ipswitch Analytics:

    Caution: Assign users to the System Administrator role with caution. Only System Administrators can manage all settings in the Settings module and access all areas of Ipswitch Analytics.

    Follow your organization's accepted security practices when assigning roles.

  5. Click Save.
