Create an Exchange Mailbox Database

Recommended: For the name of the Exchange Mailbox Database, use IpswitchAnalyticsDatabase to keep the name consistent with the instructions in the following sections.

Recommended: Use the Exchange 2013 Administrator Console (EAC) to create the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox Database. The console provides a comprehensive view of the available Exchange Mailbox Servers in your Exchange deployment.  

• Use the EAC to create a mailbox database
  1. From the Exchange admin center, navigate to Servers.
  2. Select Databases, and then click the + symbol to create a database.
  3. Use the new database wizard to create your database.

  4. After the database is created, you receive a warning that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service must be restarted.

     Click OK to restart the service. This action forces connected Exchange mail clients to reconnect.
