Use the MOVEit Transfer Config Utility tab to configure a secure connection with MOVEit Gateway.
The Gateway tab is displayed if your MOVEit Transfer license supports MOVEit Gateway.
Gateway Settings
Use these settings to enable and configure the secure tunnel to the MOVEit Gateway host.
Enabled. Select to allow MOVEit Transfer to connect to the network through MOVEit Gateway.
Hostname. Add the fully qualified hostname or the IP address for the MOVEit Gateway host. Using the hostname is best practice.
SSH Server Port. The port number that Gateway listens to for incoming connections from MOVEit Transfer. The default is 10022. If Gateway is on the opposite site of a firewall from MOVEit Transfer you will need to adjust your fireway rules so this port can be used by Gateway.
Reset Host Keys. Select if your Gateway SSH tunnel changes changes, for example, if you reinstall Gateway. This option causes the Gateway SSH Tunnel Management Service accept the next key it receives from each Gateway server to which it connects. It will save that key and use it to validate subsequent connections.
SSH Auth Key. Public key fingerprint (shown) and public key (click View). Transfer uses the public key for authentication with MOVEit Gateway. Copy the SSH Public key to the MOVEit Gateway Host.
Generate New Key. Generate a new key pair.
View. View the SSH Public Key.
Gateway Tunnels
Use these settings to enable and configure the application traffic that can use the tunnel.
HTTPS
Enabled. Select to enable HTTPS connections over SSH with MOVEit Gateway.
Port Range. When the Gateway host connects to these ports it forwards to the Transfer port. The default range is 5443 to 5543.
Note: The port range must match the values specified in the Transfer Configuration
Transfer Port. The value for the Transfer HTTPS port. The default is 443.
FTP (FTPS)
Enabled. Select to enable FTP (FTPS) connections over the tunnel via MOVEit Gateway.
Port. When the Gateway host connects to this port it forwards to the Transfer FTP (FTPS) port. The default is 5990.
SSH (SFTP)
Enabled. Select to enable SSH (SFTP) connections over the tunnel via MOVEit Gateway.
Port. When the Gateway host connects to this port it forwards to the Transfer SSH port. The default is 5022.
