Windows Services
Windows Services report reveals Windows services that WhatsUp Gold discovers.
- . Device hostname, IP address, or custom label.
- . Device IP address.
- . Service directory path for the executable (
.exe
) file. - . Service process ID.
- . Indicates if application service is a unique or shared service.
- . Indicates if service started; True or False.
- . Start mode of the Windows base service; either Boot, System, Auto, Manual, or Disabled.
- . Account name under which a service runs.
- . Status of the application service (Running or Stopped).
- . Status information about the software update.
Click a column heading () to display the column selection listing . You can also include:
- . Manufacturer's description.
- . Assigned category based on functional characteristics uncovered during discovery.
- . Hostname of the device (if available/defined).
- . Primary role of device.
- . Contact information/responsible individual associated with this device.
- . Location information associated with this device (building, floor, and rack, for example)
- . Brand of the device.
- . Operating system role delegated by Discovery (given the information available).
- . Display name of the application service.
- . Date on which the service was installed.
: Results data displayed by this report are as fresh as the last device rescan/refresh. To ensure the most up-to-date information per device is reported here, you should Rescan/Refresh or rediscover. (If information is incomplete or lacks detail, ensure you applied the necessary layering of credentials to your discovery scan.)
Generate a report
. Choose one or more host devices you want Windows Services measurements for.
Use the Select Device dialog for one of the following:

Filter and pick by column
Click a report heading () and use the "column picker" () from the drop down list.

: This report only returns Windows Services metrics for devices that already have the appropriate credentials. For more information, see Using Credentials.
: To collect service information, each Windows host device must have WMI (Windows) credentials.
Share, export, and save as PDF
Most generated Windows Services report data can be printed, shared, and exported when selecting () from the Dashboard Options () menu. After the report has been expanded, select export () to access the following options:
