Step 3: Sign in, Upload the License File, and Reset the Agent Access User Password

After you click Finish on the Installation Complete screen, an Ipswitch Analytics shortcut icon is placed on your desktop and Start menu.

Note: If users will access the Analytics Server from outside the corporate firewall, go to an external computer not connected to your network, open a web browser, and enter the Analytics Server URL in the address bar. If you cannot connect to the Analytics Server from the external computer, you might need to configure your firewall to open the port.

  1. Click the Ipswitch Analytics shortcut. A browser window opens to the sign-in page. Sign in using the System Administrator user name and password that you created during the Ipswitch Analytics Server installation. The Ipswitch Analytics workspace opens with a Welcome message.

  2. Click Browse to License, select your license file, and click Open.

The Agent Access Username and Password are automatically set by the Ipswitch Analytics server installation program. On the USERS page, the password appears as a series of dots. You must manually change the password so that you have it available when you install the Ipswitch Analytics agent.

  1. Click USERS.
  2. Click the Agent Access User name (default name is feeder). The Edit User dialog box opens.
  3. In the Password area, click Change. In the Edit Password for feeder dialog box, type and confirm a new password.
  4. Remember this password. When you install the Ipswitch Analytics Agent, you will be prompted for it.
