Create Exchange Transport Rule

An Exchange Transport Rule is the mechanism that governs which emails qualify as email attachment-based file transfers.  Create the default Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Transport Rule with the following conditions:

• Disabled. The Transport Rule should remain disabled until after the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Agent is installed, configured and successfully connecting to Exchange.
• Attachment Size over 1 KB:
• Send Exchange Incident Report to the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange User Mailbox
• Include all Incident Report content including the original email and attachment.

• To create an Exchange Transport Rule:
  1. As Administrator, open the Exchange Management Shell
  2. Run the New-TransportRule cmdlet, making the following substitution:

     Replace <Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox User Email Address> with the actual Mailbox user principal name.

     New-TransportRule "IpswitchAnalyticsTransportRule" -Enabled $false -AttachmentSizeOver 1KB -GenerateIncidentReport "<Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox User Email Address>" -IncidentReportContent "Sender","Recipients","Subject","CC","BCC","Severity","Override","RuleDetections","FalsePositive","DataClassifications","IdMatch","AttachOriginalMail" -Mode Enforce -SetAuditSeverity DoNotAudit
