If you are upgrading from MOVEit Gateway 2018 and want to continue to use the existing SSTP Gateway tunnel, you can upgrade the current configuration to work with MOVEit Transfer 2020. To implement the new dedicated tunnel service, upgrade to MOVEit Gateway 2020.
To use MOVEit Gateway 2018 with MOVEit Transfer 2020, you must upgrade to the Gateway 2018 hotfix version, available from the Product Downloads section of the Progress Community.
Upgrading to the MOVEit Gateway 2018 hotfix version allows you to continue to use the existing SSTP Gateway tunnel.
You can connect MOVEit Gateway 2018 and MOVEit Gateway 2020 to a single MOVEit Transfer 2020 server at the same time. This allows you to test MOVEit Gateway 2020 alongside the existing configuration. Once the Gateway 2020 system is configured and ready for use, you can redirect traffic to the new dedicated tunnel service.
To test MOVEit Gateway 2020 alongside MOVEit Gateway 2018, you must upgrade MOVEit Gateway 2018 to the hot fix version and install MOVEit Gateway 2020.
Upgrading to Gateway 2020 implements a new dedicated tunnel service. The old Gateway tunnel will not be usable after the upgrade.
To configure the tunnel after upgrading the Gateway Server, you must Configure the Gateway Connection on the MOVEit Transfer Server and Launch the Gateway Configuration Interface.
After configuring the tunnel, you can optionally Remove the Legacy Tunnel.
