Adding and editing a Degraded Array Active Monitor
The Degraded Array monitor uses SNMP to communicate with and determine if a node within the selected NetApp storage device is operational. The success or failure of the monitor is dependent upon values returned by the device that can be interpreted by WhatsUp Gold as up or down.

To add a new Degraded Array active monitor:
- From the WhatsUp Gold web interface, go to . The Monitor Library dialog appears.
- Click the tab. The Active Monitor list appears.
- Click . The Select Active Monitor Type dialog appears.
- Select , then click . The New Degraded Array Monitor dialog appears.
- Enter or select the appropriate information:
- . Enter a unique name for the active monitor. This name displays in the Active Monitor Library.
- . (Optional) Enter additional information about the monitor. This description displays next to the monitor in the Active Monitor Library.
- Click to save changes.
- After configuring an active monitor in the Active Monitor Library, add the monitor to devices.
