Users

Access to Ipswitch Analytics requires a user account. Ipswitch Analytics user accounts are not connected to MOVEit user accounts.

User accounts are located in the Users module. You must have the role of System Administrator or Administrator to add and manage Ipswitch Analytics users. Creators have read-only access to the Users module.

The Users list includes the following information about each user:

Username

The user's name.

Firstname (optional)

The user's first name.

Lastname (optional)

The user's last name.

Role

Determines the modules and report types that a user can access within Ipswitch Analytics.

Email

The user's email address. This is the location where the user will receive email notifications when a scheduled report is ready for viewing.

Status

The user's current ability to sign in to Ipswitch Analytics:

Embedded OLE File Template, D75, H100 Enabled: User can sign in to Ipswitch Analytics.

Embedded OLE File Template, D75, H100 Disabled: User cannot sign in to Ipswitch Analytics.

Note: The same user can sign in to Ipswitch Analytics in multiple browser tabs, windows, and from different machines. Multiple users can also share the same email address.

Note: The Ipswitch Analytics Agent user will have the name assigned to it during installation. It is used only for Agent access to the Ipswitch Analytics Server, it has the role of Ipswitch Analytics Agent and no name or email is associated with it. If you change the name or password of the Ipswitch Analytics Access here, you must modify the Agent as well.

Ipswitch Analytics comes with six predefined user roles:

You can edit these users' names, email addresses and other information, or you can create additional users.

Tip: Ipswitch Analytics user actions are reportable in the the User Audit and Security reports.
