APM tab

The APM tab is where you go to configure and view information gathered by APM, a feature within WhatsUp Gold that allows you monitor applications running on devices connected to your network. The tab is broken into 3 pages:

• The Status page which displays the current state of each instance together with historical and summary data for each application as well as logs which display state change, actions, and resolved items.
• The Configuration page which displays application profiles available for use. This interface also allows you to import existing application profiles, create new ones, or discover applications on devices monitored by WhatsUp Gold.
• The Actions page which displays action policies configured specifically for application monitoring. This interface allows you to configure new action policies for assignment to application instances in APM. When creating a new action policy, you can also configure specific actions and apply blackout policies to further customize APM to fit your needs.
